Banger heat-up and cool-down
Thicker quartz holds heat longer, so it takes more torch time and more cooling time. These are typical numbers with a butane torch.

What’s the difference between a dab rig and a bong?
Rigs are smaller with a shorter path for flavor, and they use a quartz banger instead of a bowl. Bongs are built for more volume and diffusion.
Torch or e-rig?
Torch setups are cheaper and fully adjustable. E-rigs cost more but hold a set temperature at the push of a button.
What size banger do I need?
Match the joint size (10, 14 or 18 mm) and gender to your rig, and pick a 45° or 90° angle to match the rig’s neck.
How long should I wait after heating?
Usually 30–75 seconds depending on quartz thickness. A temperature reader takes out the guesswork.
