People often use “cigar lounge” and “walk-in humidor” as if they meant the same thing. They don’t. Knowing the difference saves you a wasted trip and helps you find the right spot for what you want tonight.
What a walk-in humidor is
A walk-in humidor is a room built to keep cigars at the humidity and temperature they like, usually around 65–70% humidity. You step inside, close the door, read the boxes and bands, and pick the cigars you want by hand. It’s a store and a storage room, not a place to light up. Our humidor etiquette guide covers how to shop one.
What a cigar lounge is
A cigar lounge is a place to smoke. Lounges usually offer seating, strong ventilation and room to stay a while, and many sell memberships. Some also have a walk-in humidor, so you can buy a cigar and smoke it on site.

What X Rated has
X Rated Smoke Shop in Santa Ana has a walk-in cigar humidor with premium hand-rolled cigars and personal cigar lockers for regulars. We don’t have a smoking lounge. Pick your cigars here, then enjoy them at home or anywhere smoking is allowed.
Lockers without a lounge
At many lounges, lockers come with a membership. At X Rated, lockers sit inside the walk-in humidor so your cigars rest at the right humidity until you pick them up. Ask at the counter or call (657) 335-5888 about availability. Our cigar locker guide explains how they work.
Taking cigars home
- Smoking within a day or two? Keep them in the cellophane or a sealed bag, away from heat and sun.
- Longer than that? A travel or desktop humidor with a two-way humidity pack keeps them right. See how to store cigars.
- Need a cutter or torch? Grab one from cigar accessories while you’re here.
